Vintage Housing provides quality, affordable homes designed to support independent living for older adults. Our communities combine comfort, accessibility, and a sense of belonging.

Who Qualifies for Vintage Housing?

Vintage Housing communities are designed for seniors who are ready to live independently in a supportive, affordable environment. To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

✅ Age Requirement

  • You must be 62 years of age or older at the time you sign your lease.

✅ Income Eligibility

  • You must meet income guidelines, typically below 60% of the area median income.

  • Income eligibility is based on household income and is verified during the application process.

✅ Required Documentation

To apply, you’ll need to provide:

  • A valid photo ID

  • Your Social Security card

  • Proof of income and assets (such as Social Security statements, pension benefits, or bank balances)

✅ Application Fee & Security Deposit

  • non-refundable application fee of $25 is required.

  • refundable security deposit between $500 and $700, depending on the unit, must be paid before move-in.

✅ Agreement to Community Policies

  • All residents must agree to the community’s rules and guidelines, including:

    • Pet Policy: One pet (under 25 lbs) is allowed with a $300 refundable deposit.

    • Respect for shared spaces and fellow residents

    • Compliance with independent living requirements

What’s Included

Beginning January 1, 2026, the following utilities will be covered by Vintage Housing:

Note: Cable, internet, and Wi-Fi are not included.

Pet Policy
One pet per household is allowed, up to 25 pounds when fully grown. A $300 refundable pet deposit is required, which will be returned at move-out if the apartment is left in good condition. Management may approve reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis.

Income and Rent Guidelines

Eligibility is based on annual household income and the type of unit available. The table below outlines the income limits for 2025:

    • 1 Bedroom: $525 or $585 + electric

    • 2 Bedroom: $650 + electric

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Vintage Housing is a nonprofit Oklahoma organization that develops affordable housing for seniors with limited resources. It is an affiliate of LIFE Senior Services, a nonprofit Tulsa Area United Way organization that serves seniors and caregivers through a variety of programs and services.

  • Each development is designed to accommodate a variety of resident and community support services. Please contact the resident manager at your community of interest for a complete list of services available. Services vary by location.

    Health screenings and frequent recreational activities are planned and organized by the Planning Committee at each community. The Planning Committee typically includes two residents, the resident manager, LIFE's Housing Services Coordinator and a community representative. The Housing Services Coordinator also works with individual residents, as needed, helping them access support and services, enabling them to remain independent as long as possible and avoid nursing home care.

  • No. Vintage Housing communities are independent living developments. Residents must be in good health, and be socially and functionally independent.

  • Resident managers keep a listing of agencies that are available to assist with personal care needs and household tasks. Some agencies charge a fee for their services. If additional in-home or community-based services are needed, case management services are available from LIFE Senior Services.

  • Residents must be at least 62 years old when they sign their lease.

  • Vintage Housing communities are developed specifically for lower to moderate-income seniors whose income is below 60% of area median income. For help calculating income for eligibility purposes, contact LIFE Senior Services property management, at (918) 340-5183.

  • No. Vintage Housing receives no ongoing subsidies and should not be confused with subsidized public housing. We depend on the rents we collect to pay all operating costs.

  • Yes. You can use your Housing Choice voucher at Vintage Housing communities.

  • Natural gas, water, sewer and trash collection are included in the monthly rent. Electricity, cable television and telephone are not included in the monthly rent.

  • Yes.

  • A few apartments at each location are fully handicap accessible. All other apartments meet or exceed Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and are wheelchair accessible.

  • One pet weighing up to 25 pounds fully grown are welcome. Residents with pets are charged a refundable deposit due with the application.

  • Yes. Each community keeps an active waiting list for each location.
